The EFR (Emergency First Response) course is basic training in

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, application of a defibrillator and emergency care.  

Accidents can happen anywhere and anytime. Whether on the road, at work,

at home or in your free time. Did you know that every person is legally obliged to do so

is to provide first aid?

In the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) course you will be given a solid basic knowledge of how to act in emergency situations. Various techniques, including self-protection and life-saving emergency measures, are taught. In addition, the skills learned are applied within the framework of smaller scenarios.

After this course you are ready to help. With confidence and genuine readiness, you can actually take action and provide valuable first aid in the event of a medical emergency.

Emergency First Response Primary Care(CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on first aid through a combination of knowledge enhancement, skill development and realistic practice scenarios to ensure participants have confidence in their ability to provide assistance in emergency situations.

This course teaches the following first aid (CPR) skills:

Site assessment, use of barriers, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treatment of major bleeding, treatment of shock, treatment of spinal injuries, treatment of conscious and unconscious asphyxia.
Recommended Skills
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Use of emergency oxygen.
Emergency First Response Secondary Care(First Aid) covers injury or illness that is not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid by expanding their knowledge and skills and practicing realistic scenarios.

Secondary skills taught in this course:

Splinting for dislocations and fractures
Includes first aid treatment instructions for the following emergencies:

Allergic reactions (incl. anaphylaxis), asthma, bruises, burns, chemical burns, choking (adult, child, infant), CPR (adult, child, infant), lacerations, dental injuries, diabetic problems, dislocations and fractures, electrical injuries, eye injuries, Assembling the first aid kit, fish spine injury, frostbite, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, heart attack, hypothermia, insect bites, jellyfish bites, octopus bites, poisoning, abrasions, seizures, snake bites, spider bites, sprains and strains, stroke, temperature-related injuries, and bites and stings of poisonous animals.
