Freediving Level 1

Service Description

The Freediver course introduces you to static, dynamic and constant weight freediving knowledge and skills. It is intended for enthusiastic freedivers so it emphasizes the specialized breathing techniques, equipment, procedures and safety issues associated with freediving. This is done in only 2 days ½ and the aim is to get you to freedive comfortably and safely to 10-20 m of depth. COURSE CONTENT: 2 theory sessions 1 dynamic apnea session 1 static apnea session 3 open water sessions YOU WILL LEARN: Level 1 Safety & Problem Management for Freediving Level 1 Breath-Hold Technique Development Level 1 Confined Water Rescue and Buddy Supervision Techniques Introduction to Freediving Specific Equipment Basic Physics and Physiology for the Level 1 Freediver Freediving Technique Development Correct Breathing for Freediving Equalization Techniques for the Level 1 Freediver Open Water Rescue Skills, Buddy Supervision and Self Evaluation DURATION: 2 days ½ PRICE: Only course: 350€, including ALL fees (digital student manual, digital certification, pool and all necessary equipment). PREREQUISITES: Be at least 18 years old (or 12 with parental consent). Know how to swim. Medical certificate with less than two years, indicating you “do not have medical contraindications for freediving”. Includes: freediving equipment, insurance during the course. SCHEDULE: DAY 1: Starting at about 9.30am with some theory and breathing techniques, we go to the first OW session. After the lunch break we follow with a static and dynamic breath-hold session and debriefing. DAY 2: Theory and we go to the second OW session, to keep practicing freediving techniques and learn Frenzel equalization. DAY 3: One OW session to learn all the safety skills and exam.
