Spearfishing areas on Lanzarote
In Lanzarote there are a number of areas designated for spearfishing. In total there are three areas that can be visited by lovers of this sport:
-
Mala : exactly between Punta Pasito and Punta Tierra Negra.
-
Playa Quemada : between Punta Tiñosa and Punta Papagayo .
-
Playa del Cochino: from Punta Jurado to Punta La Gaviota.
Each of the three areas represents a great challenge for the fisherman, but the Mala area stands out as one of the most demanding, requiring fishing at great depths and usually by freediving. The second, Playa Quemada , is a less rich area in terms of fish species. To reach the third, it is advisable to go by boat.
