To give everyone the opportunity to visit this amazing underwater museum, we offer complete trips for divers and beginners without a diving license.

The Underwater Museum, the Museo Atlántico in Playa Blanca, opened in 2016, is the only underwater museum in Europe where you can dive among the impressive sculptures of the artist Jason deCaires Taylor, known for his underwater creations. He has already created the world's first underwater sculpture park in the Caribbean and an underwater museum in Mexico. The Underwater Museum in Lanzarote is located in a protected area near Coloradas, Playa Blanca, at a depth of 12 to 14 meters.

Length of time

This program consists of three parts and lasts a total of about 5 hours. We start at 10:00 am at the dive center and end around 3:00 pm.

It starts with an introductory dive from the beach. For this first dive we explain the most important diving theory in about 20 minutes. You do the dive from the beach together with a diving instructor. You do not go deeper than 6 meters on this first dive. Back from the dive you learn some basic diving skills in the pool together with a diving instructor. Then we take a short break and you can have something to eat in one of the bars or restaurants next to the dive center. After the briefing we take the boat to the museum in about 10 minutes. The sculptures are at a depth of 14 meters. Since this is only your second dive you are not allowed to dive deeper than 12 meters. We organize a private dive with a guide to keep you at 12 meters. From this depth you have a perfect view of the statues.

Price

The price for this whole trip is 149 euros per person including hotel transfer, entrance to the Museo Atlántico and diving equipment. You can book the trip online. You pay a deposit of 40 euros. You pay the rest at the diving school.
