Creating Confidence to Care
Emergency First Response is one of the fastest growing international CPR, AED and First Aid training organizations. With more than 56,000 instructors worldwide, Emergency First Response has 48 years of experience in developing and delivering training courses, training materials and curriculum.
Emergency First Response courses are very popular internationally.
Every day, Emergency First Response instructors in more than 175 countries around the world help communities prepare for disasters by training community members to respond to medical emergencies when emergency services are delayed or unavailable.
Emergency First Response courses follow the emergency considerations and protocols developed by the members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Members include the American Heart Association (AHA), European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), New Zealand Resuscitation Council (NZRC), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC), the Southern African Resuscitation Council (RCSA), the Inter American Heart Foundation (IAHF) and the Asian Resuscitation Council (RCA - current members are Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan).
Focused on training lay rescuers, the Emergency First Response approach builds the confidence of lay rescuers and increases their willingness to respond to medical emergencies by providing them with the necessary skills in a stress-free learning environment. In addition, participants are given as much practice as necessary to master and retain these skills.
